This past week, I got to visit my best friend in Massachusetts, a couple weeks before she moves into her new college dorm. As I’m looking back on what’s happened this year, I’ve noticed so many answered prayers, blessings, and gifts that the Lord has given me.
A lot of them have happened within the past three weeks, the past few days, the past six months, and from when we moved here, a year ago.
It’s a reminder that God is always giving blessings and planting seeds for years in advance whether or not I can see these seeds.
It’s a reminder to never take the small moments for granted.
It’s a reminder to praise him for the relationship relationships I have and we have.
It’s a reminder to continue to extend grace to myself and to others in periods of grief or morning or disappointment.
Because in time, we will see His hand through it all.
“After Jacob returned from Paddan Aram, God appeared to him again and blessed him.”
Genesis 35:9 NIV
The Lord appeared to him again—time after time, we will see Him stay faithful even when we are not. And that encourages me simply to stay faithful even through the times when I’m not sure what He is planning for me.
So as we go into this week, I encourage you to ask yourself: where has God blessed me and answered prayers in the past year? And how can I continue to stay faithful to Him, knowing what He’s done for me?
Thanks for reading, have a great week!
