That’s right, we have a Christmas snippet competition!

If you were here a year ago, I did a Christmas competition (check out that post) and Michael T. Hare and Avery Blaycock won! This year, however, is going to be a little different.

What is the prompt for this competition?

I have a series of photos (credits to Pinterest) and you get to choose which one you use! You can use one, two or as many out of the 10, but they must be from the selection below:

So I’ll give you some time to figure out which prompt(s) you’re going to use! Now let’s dive into the fun stuff: RULES.

The Guidelines & Info:

1. I will be judging off of storytelling, creativity, and the Christmas vibes!
2. Unfortunately this round is not poetry, it is writing snippets. So keep that in mind!
3. Max word limit is 1,000 words and minimum is 200—no more than 1,000, no less than 200.
4. I included romance prompts—but keep the max romance vibes to kisses. No sexual scenes or spice or any crap like that, keep it PG!
5. I also included war and sci-fi prompts—keep it gore-free and once again, PG! Same goes for language: PG.
6. One submission per human being. (Unless you’re not human—then you get two submissions. Kidding, kidding.)
7. You must include a title!
8. Submissions are due December 11th—you have ONE week to write and submit your story and on the 12th, the form will close! I will announce the winners on December 16th.
