Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you guys are all enjoying today with delicious food and family!

Today I wanted to share a Bible verse that has always been an encouragement to me: 1 Thessalonians 5:1 6-18.

‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.’ (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV)

I feel as if we often look at this verse as a good reminder for life and we translate it to mean, “Always be happy no matter what you’re going through.”

But that’s not what we are called to do—we are called to give thanks, that does not automatically mean be happy. We don’t want to force out happiness, but we always have things to give praise and be grateful for.

So today, I want you to tell me in the comments:

What is one thing you’re grateful for? What is one thing you are praying for? And what is one thing you see God doing in your life?

You can answer one or you can answer all of them! (Or you don’t even have to answer if you don’t want to!) But I think it’s really important for us to take time and recognize all that God is doing for us, no matter how big or small.

And so, here are my answers:

I’m grateful for the blessings God has given me in the past year with family, friends, my writing, my job, and the growth of my faith. I’m praying for a peaceful outcome in my future with my career and after high school. And I see God cultivating the various relationships with my friends, coworkers, and family and giving me peace despite my situations.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

One thing I’m grateful for is that God is always with me, always loving me, never leaving me.

One thing I’m praying for is for my friends and family to continue to grow closer to God.

And something I’m seeing him do in my life is leading me towards friends in faith. He’s given me a beautiful community of believers, and through our friendships God has drawn us closer to Him.

Happy Thanksgiving! And thank you for such a thoughtful post!💕

Honestly? I’m grateful for way too much… but in the best possible way. XD

I’m grateful for my family — my loud, hilarious, chaotic, annoying, loving family. The people who shaped me, challenged me, supported me, and somehow didn’t lose their minds while doing it. I’m grateful for my life, even on the days where I dramatically flop onto my bed and declare the world “dead to me” because my outfit won’t cooperate on a very important day or someone irritated me at the wrong moment. XD
I’m grateful for my creativity and my weird little talents — even though I constantly downplay them or pretend I don’t care. Truth is, they’re my superpower. They get me through everything. Writing, drawing, editing, even the stupid little scribbles I do when I’m bored — they keep me stable in ways I don’t recognize until I look back and go…
    “Oh. Damn. That saved me.”

I’m grateful for the tiny things in life, too — the stuff most people forget to notice.
Like the way snow falls silently at night, soft and glowing under the streetlights.
The way hot cocoa tastes when you’re sitting by the fire, warm mug between your palms, toes tucked under a blanket, Yule music humming in the background like the world itself is sighing.
The way winter smells — cold, clean, a little magical.
The fact that I even get nights like that… a life safe enough and calm enough to enjoy something as simple as warmth.

I’m grateful that my family is here this week, all stuffed together under one roof like a pack of feral wolves pretending to act normal.
I’m grateful I get to laugh and scream over video games with my cousins and siblings — even if it’s still up for debate whether I win because I’m good or because they let me. 😅
I’m grateful for the nights I stay up too late talking, the inside jokes no one else would ever understand, and all the dumb chaotic memories we stack up like building blocks.

I’m grateful for my friends — the ones who stick by me no matter what.
Even when we argue over a writing project we share, or stress over characters, or spiral because a plot isn’t working and someone accidentally writes something too similar and chaos breaks loose. XD
Even when we’re miles apart — two hours, two states, or literally across the world — they still show up. They still help. They still love me through the mess.
That’s rare. And I don’t take it lightly.

I’m grateful that I get to be this… somewhat normal, but also awesomely weird unique girl who doesn’t have to worry about all the truly terrifying things in life.
The worst thing I stress about is whether my hair looks half-decent when I’m around a cute boy. XD Well, not entirely, but you get the idea.
I am grateful — deeply — that I don’t go to bed hungry or freezing. That my worries are small enough they can be healed by music, art, laughter, or sleep.
    That’s a privilege.
    And I know it.

I’m grateful for the people who lived on this land long before me — the Indigenous peoples who cared for it, protected it, respected it.
I’m grateful for my ancestors, too. The ones who survived countless eras, choices, wars, hardships, and miracles so I could exist here, now, breathing, living, being… me.

I’m grateful for all the beautiful things I get to see and experience — the sunsets, the forests, the animals, the storms, the snow, the people, the laughter, the possibilities.
For every moment of softness, every chaotic adventure, every lesson, every blessing, every chance to grow.

I’m grateful for all the people in the world who choose to do good, who help others, who lift people up instead of tearing them down.
You gotta love those guys. Lol. They keep humanity alive.

And honestly? There’s so much more I could say.
So many things I could list.
So many things that make me stop and whisper thank you — to the gods, to the universe, to my family, to my ancestors, to my friends who are basically my family, and to myself for surviving long enough to enjoy all of this.

And what do I pray for? For life to keep going the way it is — and to just keep getting better from here on out as long as I don’t stop and keep going till I reach that goal.

I pray for that everyday, actually. And for everyone. Because I believe anyone can do anything if they’ve got the drive, the confidence and the belief that yes, they CAN do this. And they will.

Aaaand that my mom will make some more Raspberry Apple Granola pie hehe. 😋 (Although that’s more of a hope than a prayer. XD)

    But in all seriousness.
Thank the gods and ourselves for this life. 🖤✨

    Happy Thanksgiving, y’all! :D

I get shocked people actually reply this fast. XDDD And heyyya! I know it’s been a while, but hopefully starting in December the blogging will know my name once again. LMAO

And yeah, Ik. I get weirdly poetic around theses times haha.

(And I think autocorrect got in the way because “streetlights” was supposed to be “moonlight”, although the snow in town at night is so peaceful, calm and gorgeous! :D)

Same to you! (Hehe, Again. >:)

a day late haha, but i’m so grateful for my family, friends, and seriously, just God’s love. the amount of times i have messed up and then remembered that God still loved me, it’s crazy. rn, God’s giving me so much peace about stuff, helping me to see that He has a plan when previously all I could feel was anxiety. so that has been amazing to see God working in my life in that way.

so yep! hope you had an amazing thanksgiving!!! 🫶 and happy beginning of the christmas season 🎄❤️
