Do you ever struggle with believing in yourself, your capabilities, or your worth?
Maybe you want to publish that book but it seems impossible, your writing isn’t good enough.
Maybe you want to apply for a job, but you’re doubtful of your skills.
Maybe you really like someone but aren’t sure if you are good enough for them.
But you’re not going to get these things if you don’t go for them.
And I mean it. Yes, miracles do happen, but you still have to work for the things you want.
Want a six-pack? You gotta work hard and work for a while—they’re not going to appear overnight after you eat ice cream and bingewatch a show.
But listen: the starting line is the hardest part. But if the finish line is something worth crossing, if it’s a dream you have, if it’s something you want to accomplish, then you have to start.
But sometimes, picturing the finish line will help you cross the starting line and get you started on that journey.
Here’s some examples:
A publisher is waiting to publish the book that you need to write.
A company is waiting to mail the offer letter for the dream job that you need to apply for.
Wedding invitations are waiting to be sent out, announcing your big day—but you need to ask the person on a date first.
Imagining yourself completing these things can be a first step across the finish line. And once you take one step, you’ll take a second, then a third, then a fourth, and so on—and before you know it, you’ve crossed the finish line.
We are given the ability to picture our futures and dreams so that we know what we are running after.
So I ask you: what do you want to complete? What do you need to do to take that step across the starting line?
You’ve got this, I believe in you!! Go cross the starting line! Happy Sunday. :)
