Happy Sunday everybody!

Have you ever had to change? Or maybe you didn’t have to but you chose to—or rather, over time, you just slowly became a little bit different than the person you were before.

I don’t like change. It’s scary. It’s more than I think I can handle. It’s not necessarily enjoyable.

More often than not, when we change we find ourselves not fitting into the place we used to belong.

Maybe it’s something everyone goes through—you’re no longer a middle schooler but a high schooler.

Maybe it’s something more personal—you go through a breakup and learn that a year ago that relationship was something you fit into, but now, it’s not a good spot.

My small group leader told me something that really encouraged me and changed how I look at my situation. She said (paraphrased): our lives are like a puzzle. We’re the pieces. And we all have a spot that we start up in—but then we change shape a bit and can’t fit in that spot anymore. That doesn’t mean we won’t ever fit, but just that our spot is somewhere else.

You might not be able to see that spot, but there is a spot for you. (Unless your dog chewed you up, then…there’s probably not a good place. I’m just kidding. 😂)

You are not a replaceable piece, but rather a piece that fits somewhere and is needed to complete the puzzle.🫶🏻

I hope this was encouraging, have a great Sunday!
