Y’all! I am super excited to share this with you guys—I had the privilege of interviewing Scott LeRette who wrote a book titled The Unbreakable Boy. You can also watch the movie, The Unbreakable Boy, that came out this past February!

Scott and I talked about his book, the movie, and autism, which is a common theme in his book. I highly recommend watching it if you want to know more about his writing, movie-making process, and what it’s like being the parent, sibling, or friend of a child with autism. (And if you want to stalk me and see what I look like, how I talk, how often I nervously mess with my hair, and all that jazz, then feel free to do that too.)

So a heads up before you watch: this was my first time interviewing somebody through a call and not email, not to mention this was somebody I look up to, not to mention I was freaking out inwardly at the end because I had like 15 seconds left, and not to mention I was freaking out about the whole “don’t forget to hit record!!!” So….cut me some slack for the nerves!

Unfortunately I cannot directly upload the video onto the blog post (gosh darn you, WordPress free plan! Stop advertising for the paid plan!) but there is link below in big bold letters to catch your attention that lead to the google drive video where you can watch my interview. 😉 It’s about 30 minutes long, so not crazy length but still full of good conversations!

Watch the interview!

Wow, you did a great job interviewing Scott LeRette. It’s hard to believe this was your first FaceTime interview. I was in awe of your composure, even when you felt lost in your notes, your honesty was adorable and made it so personable. I have seen a lot of growth in your writing and subject matter and look forward to more posts and live interviews. Keep up the good work.
