In April I went on a mission trip to North Carolina. We took six flights in total, three on the way there and three on the way back.
On one of the flights it had been kind of overcast and stormy-looking when we boarded the plane. It stayed that way up ’til takeoff, and then when we went up through the clouds we were hit with a view that shocked us all.
The skies were still blue above the clouds.
(You might be like, “DUH. The clouds are literally what made it overcast and stormy-looking. You don’t need to be a genius to know that.” Well, take note that I was a wee bit exhausted from time change and living in a camper and tent for a week.)
Anyways: the italicized line above is the point of this post. The skies are still blue above the clouds.
When life is not ‘lifing’ the way that you want it to, just remember: what you see right now is just a paragraph in the chapter of your book. A layer of your story.
The clouds may be coming in right now and they may be looking really dark and scary. Some of them might even have rain and be bringing storms—but eventually, the storm always passes.
You’ve got this, keep pressing on and staying strong. I believe in you. 😉
Have a great Sunday, praying for you all!

‘[Jesus] got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. ‘
