Good morning you guys! I have a couple exciting announcements about things that are happening here at the Faithful Wanderer!

First: summer writing competition!!

That’s right! I’m inviting YOU to participate in a friendly writing competition here at the Faithful Wanderer and I want you to invite your friends and family and blog readers to do it as well!

The name of this competition is simply called Fun In The Sun. Let’s check out the guidelines:

1. No less than 300 words and no more than 800 words.
2. Snippets only this time—no poetry please.🙃
3. Keep it family-friendly
4. It must be from the POV of an inanimate object. (Sprinkler, blade of grass, a house, literally anything that is not a human or an animal. If you’re confused or need to clarify about a certain object, feel free to contact me here with your questions.)
5. The deadline—the very last day available for submissions is June 22. I will post the winners on June 24.
6. Like last competition, if I get more than 5 submissions, I’ll choose two winners instead of one! So share this post with people and you’ll up your odds of winning.😉

What’s the second announcement? I saw the words “author interviews” in the title!

Well you are correct! I have been doing my absolute best and reaching out to well-known authors (and some who are not as well-known) and asking to interview them for my blog. At the moment I’ve reached out to about 15+ authors and this morning one got back to me, saying she’d be willing to do an interview through email.

Do you wanna know who it is???

I’ll give you a hint—she’s a very popular author, award-winning, and known for her science-fiction quartet. She has also written historical fiction, kids picture books, and a contemporary middle-grade series for girls.

And that’s all I’m going to tell you.😉 You’ll just have to wait and see who it is when I post the interview!

What does the ‘more’ in your title mean?!

Well…there is this amazing publishing company called Skillful Pen Press. (You may have heard of them.😉) They will be releasing preorders for their upcoming anthology, Through Rays of Light, very very soon! We’re just waiting on finishing up some final edits and then you are free to PREORDER!! Y’all, we are almost there. Almost. Just another week or two. Or maybe three. We’ll see. But whatever—we are almost there and I’m so stoked!!
