Y’all! It’s almost June—can you believe it?!

I cannot, this school year has been going by crazy fast! Have you been enjoying the school year? Maybe you’re like me and you are ready for summer—maybe you are the opposite of me and are not looking forward to summer. In that case, you would be wrong, but hopefully you are excited for summer.

Well I have something to say to you: Summer is almost here.

Maybe if you live in the south or on the East coast (of the U.S. at least), summer has already come! It might be in the high seventies, low eighties for you. Well let me tell you—it is not that warm here. And I am ready for that kind of weather. High seventies, a nice cool breeze, the sun beaming down on me–I shall be a lovely color of orange-ish brown. (That’s what happens when you have Filipino genes.😉)

But let me get to the point of this post: summer is almost here, and there is one reason we are blessed to get to experience summer.

Jesus.

God sent his Son to die for our sins and for one huge reason—because he loves you. He wanted you to be able to enjoy the warm weather, the sunny blue skies, the nice cool breeze, and some fun in the water!

He did that for you.

If you remember my post, 10 Truths About God, then you know that God is making this gorgeous summer weather just for you. The flowers, the sun, the colorful months that come every year are on a set schedule because God doesn’t want you to miss out on that.

(And if you’re one of my schedule-lovers, then get this! God made something reliable for you—the seasons changing!—to rely on when life is unreliable. I think that’s pretty awesome.)

He wants you to enjoy this summer, this warm weather, and he wants you to have a great time.

So whaddya say?! Are you going to live that summer with a good attitude or what?! Let’s go out there, finish this school year with a bang, and have a freaking awesome summer!
