Paul did something that only a few of the followers of Jesus did—
Invest in the next generation.
He took it upon himself to be surrounded by younger men, teaching them how to be an apostle and follow Christ.
This is something that we can all do—young and old!
For example: mentoring. My mom has had a mentor, an older woman who helped her through various things by imparting wisdom and guidance.
I’ve experienced this in small group leaders at youth group, pastors, parents, and even older peers.
I think that being able to have a mentor is one of life’s many blessings, but it is one that I think we all should have at some point. Hopefully you have had a great experience with a mentor! But if not, I encourage you to go to your church—or any church if you do not have one that you call your own—and seek somebody who will be willing to talk and share wisdom with you.
And always remember one of the greatest mentors whose wisdom lives on forever (Luke 21:33). Want to guess His name? Well, you can read any of the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John) and find out who He is, and learn some wisdom from Him. 🙃
Thanks for reading, praying for you all.💛
