Can I ask you a question?

Did you know that you are loved?

I know, I know, it’s a cringey question.

But there’s this really cool story that is literally about you and for you, and guess what?! It’s about how you were created to be loved.

Let’s start at the beginning. And I mean, the very beginning:

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

If you read Genesis chapter 1, you’ll see that God is making the earth. Why? What for? Who for?

Well, he is making it because he’s preparing it for you.

Continue reading Genesis 1 and you see that God provides everything—water, land, sky, sun, trees, animals, vegetation, fish.

And you know what he calls it? Good.

But then—chapter two—he makes something else. A human. Adam.

Then he make Adam a partner—Eve, his wife.

And you know what he calls them? Very good.

God made the world with a plan to make it just right for you.

We know that if the atmosphere was any different, it’d either crush us or suffocate us.

We know that if the sun was never on time, we’d live in darkness for too long.

We know that if there were no trees, we would be breathing in toxins.

God did this all, knowing we would need it.

Friend, GOD MADE THIS WORLD FOR YOU so he could LOVE you and SPOIL you and LAVISH good things on you.

And even though it’s an imperfect world full of imperfect people, he still loves it and he still loves us.

How amazing is that?
