Do you ever feel like you are never great? Or you are the least greatest?
Well let me tell you something, friend: most of βthe greatsβ started out as something not great.
Helen Keller: she was both deaf and blind, and she used that to her advantage to make a huge impact, including writing a book and encouraging other deaf, blind, and deaf-and-blind people. But to start out? When she was a child, she kind of had anger management issues and hurt people. But she learned to control that and instead became famous for using her disabilities to make an impact.
Jackie Robinson: living in a segregated world, he was hated by white peopleβbaseball players especiallyβbut taught everyone that skin color doesnβt make a differenceβeveryone bleeds the same. He went on to become a baseball legend.
And in the Bible?
King David: born a small, lowly shepherd, but became the anointed King, and one of Jesusβs descendants. (1 Samuel 16:1-13)
Queen Esther: a Jew, taken from her home to become Queen even though her people (the Jews) were going to be killed. (Esther 2 and 3)
Obviously there are many others who were great but started out the least greatest, and so these are just a few.
So friend, donβt forget: Godβs plans are not done yet. Youβve still got a lifetime for him to work out something amazing for you.
Happy Sunday and have a great week!β€οΈ
