Hey y’all! As you can tell from the title, I have some exciting news for me!

So, last night, my youth pastor was going through announcements at youth group. He said they were having baptisms on February 23rd, and if we were interested or were curious to know more, then talk to him after youth group.

So I waited for a while to talk to David (the youth pastor) about baptism.

I’d been wanting to get baptized for three years, but wasn’t in a good place for various reasons.

Well, after David made that announcement, I was like, “Alright, bro let’s do this.”

So today was that day!

One of my friends and I decided together to get baptized, and then we got to be baptized together (at least on the same day) as well, so that was super special.

When we arrived at church today, we were given t-shirts that have waves and the words Made New above the waves.

Then, after overthinking literally everything, we headed into the sanctuary where everyone was still doing worship and then pastor Brent called the people getting baptized up to the stage.

So we were asked some questions, which we answered, I watched my friend JJ get baptized, and then my turn came.

So all in all, it was pretty awesome!

JJ and I ran to the bathroom to change, and y’all, we were so loud and giggly. After taking a couple mirror pictures of our wet selves, we headed back into the sanctuary where we sat with our small group who had taken up a whole row to watch us.

Later that day, my parents took my to Barnes & Noble to get a new Bible and y’all—I got a new Bible and it’s so awesome: it has lines on the sides so you can journal in it. 😱 That’s honestly one of the best parts of it and I’m so stoked to use it.

So yeah! That’s what happened and it was a great day.
