I recently heard a song by Leanna Crawford (check her out, her voice is beautiful and her music is amazing!) called For Heaven’s Sake.

For Heaven’s Sake album cover

The lyrics are so good, and I feel like they really apply to everybody, Christian or not, and they really need to be heard, especially in this time and age!

Two of the verses say this (I cut out the chorus but you should listen to it):

Have we lost all our hope in each other

Have we forgotten we’re sisters and brothers

Can we be a little more like Jesus to one another

Can we give a little grace for Heaven’s sake

[Chorus]

Maybe we could learn to love if we’d stop hiding

Maybe we could learn to trust if we’d stop fighting

If we fall down on our knees we could finally start to see

That he loves us all the same for Heaven’s sake

[Chorus]

These lyrics talk about how as humans, we don’t love each other the way we were made to! Everybody, both Christian or non-Christian, adult or child, boy or girl, whatever status, we all hurt each other.

Habits take about 21 (some sources say 27) days to form. Well, this is a habit that has been happening since almost the beginning of time (Genesis 3). And for some reason, we don’t seem to want to break that habit.

But why? I mean, love is free to give.

Let me paint a picture for you:

If you have a pyramid of cups stacked on each other, and pour a giant pitcher of water on the top cup, it will overflow and fill up the other cups.

You see, the giant pitcher is God, and the water is His love. We are the top cup, and the cups beneath is are the people in our lives who we reach.

God fills us with love, and we can fill others with love, and they can fill others with love, and so on. It’s a never-ending cycle.

Like I said, love is free to give.

Hate just costs us ourselves.

God loves everyone, even if they don’t love him back. We need to stop fighting, saving face, keeping to ourselves, and start giving to others.

How can you be spreading love to others?

Thanks for reading this short post! 🧡

That sounds like a pretty song. And as for why we fight and hate so much? Idk. It’s just nature and life I suppose. Us as human beings. You can never fully get rid of it.

It really is! Of course, why we hate and fight depends on what’s going on in our lives and it’s become human nature since the fall in Genesis 3. I personally believe that someday it will be gotten rid of but not by humans—that will all be God.

Well, I believe that it will happen, and because of that, I’m not concerned about the world being full of hate and fighting forever because I know that God will be making a new heaven and a new earth where there are no more tears or fighting. (Revelation 21:4)🙃

You still didn’t answer my question lol I know you believe it will be God, but what if it isn’t God? What if that never happens, then what?

If you believe in Christian faith and believing in God’s son and the Bible, then it is a fact that the hate evil will be destroyed At the end of times and when God creates the new Earth It will be free from sin. If you don’t believe in God and the Christian faith, then you’ll have to find another answer for yourself to this question. In my point of view God Is real and that’s just a fact of life and there’s no other way I could see it being otherwise It’s just a fact period The only question is whether you decide to follow him or not.

Exactly! That’s a great way of explaining it, thanks Cullen

Yes, seconding what Cullen said, there are verses in the Bible saying that God will be the one to finish off all bad things, including fighting and hate and violence. Answering your question, I know it won’t be something that isn’t God and I know that there will be an end to all bad things.
Part of believing this is faith—nobody will know until it happens, but we have enough proof in the Bible that it will happen because of the hundreds of fulfilled prophecies and words.
