Happy Sunday y’all!
Today it’s a short one (because I wrote it last minute😅) but hopefully it’s still encouraging and enjoyable!
So, for this week I have a verse, and it’s Psalm you’ve probably heard before.
“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.” (Psalms 139:1-4 NIV)
Now, this first line catches my eye. It says, “You have searched me, Lord. And you know me.”
I’m going to take the liberty to say this: when it says know, it doesn’t mean God just knows who you are. It means he knows you, your inner being, your true, most broken self. He knows every detail, knows what you love, knows what you need, knows how to help.
He knows you.
And when it says, he’s searched you, it means that he’s examined you in every part so that he can know you. God wants to know you like your best friend. In fact, he knows you better than your best friend.
That might seem alarming, right? He knows all your brokenness, tears, sins, and all that bad stuff. But here’s the point of this post:
Jesus loves you as he finds you.
He’s not going to love you more if he finds you in a thriving part of life, or love you less if he finds you in the worst moment of your life.
He loves you as he sees you. Which is all the time.
I hope this encouraged you! Have a great Sunday. 🧡
