Okay y’all. It’s Valentine’s Day in about a week so that means we’re having another writing competition!

Write a humorous snippet (fictional, nonfiction, poetry, whatever) about things to NOT do on Valentine’s Day. Like always, there are a couple things to keep in mind:

1. No less than 100 words and no more than 1,000 words.
2. You must include this word: monster
3. Please submit it to me by February 9th!

I will be judging these snippets on the humor, your overall writing, and the content! This time there’ll only be a single winner, and I am looking for a funny snippet!

You can write this in whatever form you like, this competition is pretty flexible!

My apologies for a much shorter deadline. I’ve realized that having a month of writing time leaves people to forget (including me!) about the competition. So this one is made to keep y’all on your toes! 🤩
