As humans, we are hurters. We hurt from memories, trauma, loneliness, anxiety, broken trust, fear, unworthiness, sadness, distance, scars, time, people, friends, family, strangers, things, future, and so. much. more.
But we all hurt together. Together, yet alone.
Everyone on earth hurts. In their own way, with their own stories, at their own time.
But we choose to ignore it.
We choose to ignore our hurt, causing it to hurt more because we feel as if we have to hide that hurt because “no one else hurts.”
It’s a cycle.
We choose to ignore others hurt, causing it to hurt them, and they feel as if they have to hide that hurt because “no one else cares or hurts.”
It’s a cycle.
We choose to ignore others hurt because of our hurt, causing it to hurt us while hurting them because we all feel that “NO ONE ELSE HURTS.”
It’s a cycle.
Is anyone else noticing a pattern?
The hurt we feel only emphasizes the hurt we wish we didn’t have to feel alone.
Y’all, hurting is not a solo job. It’s a team job.
It’s something that needs to be loved on, cared for, and acknowledged.
Don’t be afraid to ask someone, “How’s your heart?” They might need to someone to share the load with.
Don’t be afraid to tell someone, “My heart hurts.” You might need someone to share the load with.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2 NIV
Thanks for reading, and share this with someone who might need be hurting. 💛
