Hey y’all! Just a reminder to submit your poems for the New Year’s competition! Here’s all the info:
I need YOU to write a poem about your New Year’s Resolutions. That’s about it. Just a couple things to keep in mind:
- No more than 1,000 words please! (I’m not a poet so I have no idea how you write a poem with 1,000 words, but I know some people can do it!)
- Must include this word: kerfuffle.
- Please make sure to include a title.
- Must be from your point of view.
- And please submit to me by December 29th!
And one last fun thing you can do (you’ll earn extra points!) is this: Don’t use the word resolution. You totally can use it, but if you do not, I will be pretty impressed. Just an idea. You do you.
I’ll be judging on creativity, the most interesting or fun resolutions, and your overall writing.
There will be two winners: One for the best resolutions, and one for my favorite poem in general.
I’ll try to post the winners around the last week of December, before New Year’s Day!
I hope this makes sense and you are all able to participate! You can contact me here to send your snippet! As well as questions and any preferences on publication info (name, who you are, etc), please contact me!
Share this with whoever you think might like this!
Have a great Sunday. 🙃
