This evening, I went to a park by the water with my family. It was around 4:00 when we left, and the sun was setting already. (Waaay too early for my taste.) But the sunset was gorgeous. We live in Washington state and we can see Mt. Ranier from our house which is so cool.

And seeing it just reminded me of how good God is! He gives us breath, love, a second chance, sunsets, trees, people, joy, holidays, cookies, warm weather (sometimes), safe spaces, His Word, creativity, peace, light, laughter, memories, opportunities, music and so much more!

The beginning of James 4:6 says, “But he gives us more grace.” God gave us grace to begin with, but he also gives us more grace. More, and more, and more, and more. He is so good!

As Thanksgiving comes to a close, I look back on all the things God has given me. It makes me so embarrassed when I realize how often I complain and how little I thank Him for them. There’s 100 billion more things to be grateful for than to be ungrateful for.
